4-2925 it STILL reminds me during the day! What is the point of s SCHEDULE if it reminds WHENEVER??? 7-26-24Taking it down to 3 stars. Overall I like the app. The only problem I have is, I work 3rd shift and only on Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon so I set a reminder for THOSE DAYS ONLY. It reminds me ALL THE TIME. I'm not sure why there is a reminder if it's just going to remind me 7 days a week all during the day. I will give it a little more of a chance but it gets irritating and it's frustrating.
When I first favorably reviewed this app 3 years ago I said the ads were unobtrusive, but that has changed drastically for the worse. On opening you immediately see one or more ads that absolutely cannot be closed without clicking through to the sponsor. You have to close the app and reopen it to get to the functions. I have never before seen an app that has the sheer nerve to behave in this way. Do they really think people will submit to this?!
I've used this app for several years and loved it. Recently, it has mostly stopped counting my steps. I have changed nothing for it to do that. It literally says 0 almost every day, even though I work in a school where I go up and downstairs throughout the workday, from classroom to classroom. What good is a step counting app that doesn't count steps?
The app is simple yet effective, I've recently installed it, and it has shown great results. I recommend the app for anyone who wants to keep track of their steps. The app is free, and it surprisingly doesn't straight up throw ads at you. in conclusion, it's a great step tracking app that is free but doesn't have many ads.
This app is very inaccurate and inconsistent. It double and triple counts steps at times and then stops tracking altogether other times. I have tried both holding my phone as well as having it in my pocket and depending on which of these I use I also get very different results for the same amount of activity. This app is useless if you want to know how many steps you are actually walking.
does its job but unfortunately like so many, it is basically turned into an ad and pop-up app that also happens to count your steps and tries relentlessly to get you to give them more money and upgrade. They sneakily and strategically place the ads in such a place that when you try to back out, close or go to your home screen you hit the ad and it opens. anything you do seems to trigger additional ads and pop-ups. It's not unexpected but the way they are doing it is just slimy business practice
App is simple & easy to use even with ads. Given how awful most ads are on free apps, I don't mind them at all. Most importantly though, it's worked well on both phones I've had. Add free is currently $10.99 for the year. I prefer this type of payment option to the monthly subscriptions.
Almost a month into this app and I'm happy to say that this is more than just a pedometer. Pros: Fairly accurate pedometer (change step length in settings). Simple workouts and stretching exercises that are great for rehab from a serious illness. Cons: You have to wait around 30 secs for the ads to finish upon opening the app. Conclusion: Patience for free or only $10.99/year for the ad-free version. Highly recommended app for tracking basic health metrics. 😁👍
The pedometer works well but the video ads are way too long. I understand advertising comes standard with a free app, but I shouldn't have to watch a video ad play for 2+ minutes. You can't ever just quickly check your step count. Nope, instead you get to watch the play-by-play of some random gaming app. It's obnoxious and excruciating. Replace the videos with a still image, and it's perfect. Otherwise, I plan to delete as soon as I find a better option.
It's my favorite app. Very convenient and reliable. It's neat to see how many miles you put on just walking around with your phone. But It's always in the background without interfering with other apps. I've tried other step counters, but this one is the best. I like bar the graphs that show your stats and progress weekly or monthly.
Edit: it wasn't counting steps and the ads crashed it. I tried the steps to fix the problem and it appears the sensor inside the phone wasn't registering the footballs. So I adjusted the setting. I also adjusted a setting under Google that should only be adjusted by developers because the OS doesn't automatically recalibrate the sensor and it is a Non User Friendly (not foolproof) operation. It would be very helpful to be able to test and calibrate the sensor from within the ap in settings.
I've used this for a few years. u vsnt really speak for its accuracy, but it gives me a good relative comparison day by day. more recently it has gone forever a decent easy to use check to a maze of ads. it makes it hard to use, the adds are a pain to wxit. and as often as not I end up somewhere else. everyone needs to make a buck. but it has ruined the app.
I've been using this app for nearly 2 yrs & it's been great. However in the last 2 weeks it's been faulty. It's not tracking steps no matter the sensitivity. I never had to before but I've recently increased the sensitivity to see if it would correct the app not sensing movement & it hasn't helped. I started walking at 1:03 pm & it's 3:03 pm. It shows I walked for 14 mins & .92 miles. According to Google maps, I've walked 4.54 miles. I just installed the update. I hope it fixes the problem.
I love your app!! I just wanted to say thank you for such a well rounded, and thoughtful app. I love everything about it. I've been using the app for 20 months. I've just finished the Sahara Desert 🏜 😅 I also believe the app has helped me to reach my goal in losing weight. The stretching and exercises are helpful and simple to follow. It is well worth paying for ad free. I actually wish the levels and goals were set higher, I've completed or maxed on most. But, overall amazing.
Inaccurate I walked 300 steps while counting as I went. I ran this app at the same time as another. That app had a 4% deviation (287/300) and this had a 20% deviation (241/300). Both are off, but this is substantially low. Same phone, same sensor, same conditions, same time... they should produce similar results. Several hours later, the results varied significantly... First app 5867, this app 5372. I only counted 300 of these steps, but you can see how the deviations compound over a distance.
I've used this app for a long time. I like it, it doesn't have a lot of advertising. But they recently decided to add a nag screen with a graphic of the time of day when you open the app. There is absolutely no reason to have it there. I think when most of us want to check our steps, etc... we don't necessarily want to wait for that nag screen to go away. Might be time to look for something else. To the developers, read the comments. Adding that nag screen serves no purpose.
I love this app and have used it for several months now. Compared to my old charge 5 fitbit, they had the same accuracy, but I got tired of having to replace it every year. This step app is highly accurate. I either carry my phone or it's in my side pants pocket. I have high sensitivity, so it will also include my small steps. I paid to get rid of ads. It was a reasonable low fee, once and done. Before I paid to remove ads, they only showed one when I first opened the app.
So far so good. Been using it for just under a month because I dislike the pedometer/health app that comes pre-installed on my phone. Simple amd easy interface, and it only has just enough on the main screen that I need at a glance: steps, miles, time spent walking, calories, and water tracking if turned on. I wish the home screen widget was a little better but its not a problem, I tend not to use widgets anyway. I do like that the app celebrates when I reach my hard earned goal though :)
Simple to use. Keeps me aware of my activity. Easy to set up and just goes on an 'autopilot' type senerio in the background. I am disabled at nearly 70 yo. I did it initially as a novility. After a few weeks, I began paying more and more attention. It popped up in my 'peek' notifications. After 1 full year, I have found that I'm competing to keep up with myself 😳😉. It keeps me moving. The old saying, "Spiral up or spiral down" has more awareness esp. being disabled and not very active!
Fairly new but, still so far great app. Cons: 1. Ads but cheap to remove for life. 2. Sensor for walking may be alittle off but it also could be my phones sense. Pros: 1. Has everything you want of a free app that tracks your daily movements, water intake, weight, etc. 2. Easy interface and user friendly. 3. Free, ads are cheap to remove for a lifetime, and allows for suggestions. 4. Great app overall.
